And as mentioned, the cards are usually stacked against women in JC meetings.
and that is all you need to know.

i'm a single sister ( in usa) that has been baptized for 20 years.
i came from the world, so did not grow up in the truth and i have no family in the truth -- i am alone.. last year i met a brother & we did have premarital sex while we were dating.

hello Sue--and welcome to the site. I must point out that i--and most of the other regular contributors on here are EX jw's! , and would hardly encourage you to seek reinstatement--if that is your wish.
there is no way i will even try to read such long posts and i`m sure many others here would agree with me.. smiddy3.
i dont read any bible thumping posts. Not interested. I'm only on here for the cookery menus
.Why are US JW rank & file being hit with $10.75 per publisher & UK JWs only £5.40?
maybe the UK dubs have more sense...maybe.
the new direction in the new elders book is very clear.
absolutely no jd if there is a suspicion of suicidal thoughts.. this is obviously due to the high number of suicidal attempts after the announcement that someone is no longer a jw and the shunning that accompanied it.. so what will happen now going forward if situations arise where there would formerly have been a jd and they say there is suicidal thoughts?.
i can’t see it working, but elders stick rigidly to what it says in the book.
it all sounds like a legal cop out for the watchtower.
i want to take a moment to salute rick fearon, an "apostate" near boston massachusetts usa who more than 17 years ago started the sixscreens telenetwork on youtube.
you can find it here: https://www (dot) youtube (dot) com/ (at) araretreat/streams.. like our benevolent host simon green here at jehovahs-witness.com, rick has not done his great work for his own financial enrichment or to collect followers for himself, as some xjw grifters have done and continue to do.. saturdays and sundays are the busy days at six screens, with call-in programs like:.
* jw world news.
could someone be openly PIMO or at least PIMA and ........... keep coming to meetings?
ok--so i know it was a long time ago--and things in dubland have changed a lot over the years--but--
From being a pioneer..a servant..giving public talks home and away,...i resigned in the early 70's, But i still attended meetings now and then--to keep my wife from her endless nagging. Everyone knew i was an ex jw--but i wasnt d/f--and spoke freely and openly to others--just a few of the new elders ignored me--they didnt know what to do. But --more importantly--i wasnt the only one ! There were several other men that did the same thing--never giving answers or prayers.
I made the complete break in 1981..never looked back.
an article on rnz, a news site in new zealand.. https://www.rnz.co.nz/programmes/in-depth-special-projects/story/2018901718/something-evil.
, they will be destroyed at Armageddon.
thats ok then--i'll worry about that nearer the time.
has anyone got any good 'jws and alcohol' stories?
i always found it amazing that so many jws got blind drunk at parties and got away with it!
i suppose alcohol was the only fun thing we were allowed to partake in....
That's interesting. I knew that the elders' "arrangement" was new in the early seventies. Was it really pinched from the Mormons?
Ive honestly no idea--but the Mormons used the term before.
I cant think of a worse idea than young men being called elders.

StanLivedeath: drunk, 16 and a Christmas party...did the elders ever find out? 😱
no--this was about 7 years before the elders idea was copied from the mormons.
